What's My Approach to Therapy?
Finding a therapist can be overwhelming and intimidating. I recognize the importance of building a safe and trusting relationship with you to best support you and your needs. I am an enthusiastic therapist who graduated from Columbia University School of Social Work. I’m licensed as a social worker in both Massachusetts and New York, and am certified in exposure and response prevention (ERP) for obsessive-compulsive (OCD) treatment. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, and my experience spans a variety of settings, including inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, and schools. Over the course of my career, I’ve developed expertise in helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive (OCD), specific phobias, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties.
In my practice, I take an integrative approach tailored to the unique needs of each client and their family. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and play therapy to provide comprehensive, individualized care. I’m also certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which allows me to approach my work with a trauma-informed lens.
Building a safe and trusting relationship is at the heart of my work. I believe that strong rapport is essential to the therapeutic process, and I bring warmth, creativity, and humor into my sessions. By collaborating with my clients and valuing their lived experiences, I aim to support their growth and facilitate healing. You don’t have to face your pain alone, I’m here to walk with you on your journey toward meaningful and lasting change.
