Elizabeth Payne, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

Elizabeth is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has worked with many concerns, including relationship issues, anger management, communication skills, attachment issues, and stress management. She helps clients who want to address substance use, depression, and anxiety using a collaborative, supportive approach. Elizabeth earned her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Simmons University. She has worked across different levels of care, from inpatient detoxification at a Veterans Affairs (VA) medical center to partial hospitalization programs, then as a supervisor, and now as an outpatient therapist in Massachusetts.

Elizabeth is well versed in helping clients with many different life circumstances and challenges. She uses a variety of modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.
