What's My Approach to Therapy?
I am a courageously curious, deeply relational, and gently direct psychotherapist. I support individuals, couples, and families in more fully connecting with self and others.
I am a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in Maryland, and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Washington, D.C., holding a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I hold additional certifications in Gestalt therapy and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP). I completed the accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP) immersion program, and focused on trauma-work with the Gestalt Centre of UK.
I collaborate with clients to co-create a safe and comfortable environment where growth and healing unfold. I trust that all people possess an inner healing wisdom, and that as we return to wholeness, we naturally discover new and meaningful choices.
My approach is experiential, relational, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive, founded on Gestalt and accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy (AEDP). I strategically facilitate parts-work, somatic processing, mindfulness, role-play, dream work, and other experiments. I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), polyvagal theory, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), psychedelic harm-reduction and integration (PHRI), ketamine-assisted therapy (KAP), and other frameworks as needed.
I have helped clients improve depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, attachment, political-climate distress, family-of-origin issues, addiction, shame, anger, self-esteem, transitional challenges, and other concerns. For more information, please call or send an email. I would be honored to serve you.
