Carolina graduated from Wilkes University with a Post-Graduate Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Certificate. She also holds a Master’s degree in Nursing Leadership and Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Western Governors University. Carolina has psychotherapy training and incorporates multiple modalities, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), culturally sensitive therapy (CST), and person-centered techniques (PCT), into treatment, in addition to medication management. Life is a surprise full of surprises, and Carolina believes that, as humans, we all have a past, but our past does not dictate the future. She believes that the most important aspect of care is listening to every patient’s unique story. Her goal is to create an environment built on safety and trust.
