My Approach to Therapy

I believe that healing happens in connection, curiosity, and collaboration. When we work together, my role is to walk alongside you as you explore your inner world, uncover your strengths, and make meaning from your experiences. You are the expert of your own life, and therapy is a space where your voice matters, your identity is honored, and your pace is respected. My approach is trauma-informed, feminist, culturally attuned, and creatively grounded, blending evidence-based practices with expressive, body-centered, and relational techniques. I draw upon art therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatic awareness, parts work (such as internal family systems (IFS)), and other experiential modalities to help you access insight, regulate your nervous system, and build lasting resilience. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and affirming space—whether we’re slowing down to listen to your body’s wisdom, naming the stories that shape you, or exploring how trauma has impacted your sense of self and your relationships. As a Latina myself, I deeply value the intersection of identity, culture, and lived experience, and I work from an anti-oppressive framework that celebrates who you are in all your complexity. Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to your goals. Together, we will co-create a path forward that honors your experience, supports your growth, and nurtures your innate capacity for healing.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

You deserve a safe, welcoming space where all parts of your identity?cultural, linguistic, and familial?are honored. I provide compassionate, culturally responsive care in English and Spanish, a space to explore your identity and what truly matters to you. I invite you to reach out for a free consultation so we can see if we?re a good fit.
