What's My Approach to Therapy?
I am Beth Wooten, LCSW, and a therapist living and working remotely in Florida. I have been a practicing therapist for 19 years. Using a client-centered, solution-focused approach has enabled my clients to achieve success in making the changes they desire for their physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. My areas of focus include treating clients who present with symptoms of anxiety, depression, mood conditions, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, child loss, and trauma. Together, I can help you change the things that are no longer working for you to find more balance, growth, and peace in your life, and feel better.
I enjoy working with adults of all ages. I specialize in anxiety, depression, bipolar, grief and loss, aging, child loss, emotional dysregulation, stress, trauma-related challenges, coping with life's storms, and marriage counseling. I use a multi-system approach with techniques from internal family systems (IFS), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I am level I certified with the Gottman Institute. I practice from a philosophy of empowering my clients to achieve balance with their mental and emotional health and to maintain healthy boundaries that support their well-being.
Your first step in healing starts with the first call. I will meet you with unconditional positive regard. My approach is individualized, and I will walk alongside you to support you on your journey. If you have questions or wish to receive a phone consultation, feel free to reach out to me via email or phone. Helping others is just second nature to me.

If you are interested in connecting to set up a free consultation, please call or email me. I am very responsive, and I will contact you within 24 hours. A free consultation will be scheduled before our first session to discuss what you are looking for in a therapist and confirm that we both feel comfortable moving forward with an intake session.
During your first session, we will get to know each other so you are comfortable. We will explore your current needs and work together to identify your main goals for therapy. We will discuss the challenges you’re facing and collaborate on a plan to address them in a way that feels manageable and meaningful for you. Many clients begin to notice gradual relief from symptoms within the first few weeks, with continued progress over time, though each person’s journey is unique.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy helps by giving you a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without judgment. It's a place where you can better understand yourself, work through challenges, and discover tools to manage stress, improve relationships, and navigate life's difficulties.
Through therapy, you can gain insight into patterns that may be holding you back, learn healthier ways to cope, and build the skills needed to foster personal growth and emotional well-being. It's not about fixing you because you're not broke. It is about empowering you to thrive.
