Billing and Insurance:

I don't currently accept insurance, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to submit to an insurance company for "out of network" benefit coverage

Session Fees: I have a flat fee of $70 per session for Individual therapy. FSA and HSA accepted. I provide Superbills for out-of-network benefits and work with Thrizer for easy Superbill submission. Did you know your insurance might help cover the cost of therapy, even if I am not in-network? Many plans offer out-of-network benefits, which means you could get reimbursed for a portion of each session. I can check your benefits for you.

What's My Approach to Therapy?

I am an inclusive therapist. All is welcome. I specialize working with young adults and women who feel lost and alone in this world due to trauma or anxiety. Most of the clients I see are women dealing with trauma, low self-esteem or eating issues, and young adults experiencing anxiety. I also love working with the LGBTQ+ community. I use play therapy when working with children. I specialize in four types of clients: women and young adults who are dealing with past trauma, anxiety, people who often think they are not worthy of love or respect, and women with body image or eating issues. I draw from various therapeutic techniques depending on my client's needs. My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that the human spirit is capable of hope, love, and resilience. Impermanence is a fact of life, what matters is how we learn to cope with changes in life. During our initial sessions, we will establish treatment goals. You will feel at ease and comfortable during our sessions. I often use humor in my sessions and have both life and professional experience. Together, we will develop new coping skills and improve your quality of life. I also allow for sessions outside of regular business hours.

My Practice & Services

With over 15 years experience, I have helped women and young adults process trauma, navigate abuse and manage complicated situations. I have worked in the human service field, mostly with adults and children experiencing abuse or neglect. Clients describe me as funny, resourceful, and relatable. I will create a safe place for you to talk and heal.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

I am comfortable talking about anything, even taboo subjects. How do I begin therapy with you? First, book a free phone consultation. This way, I can answer any questions that you have, and we can both determine if I am the therapist for you. If you choose to start therapy with me, I will then send you a link to my portal where you can sign therapy consent forms electronically. After the forms are signed, I can usually get you scheduled for your first appointment within 48 hours. What does a first session look like? I will do an assessment and gather information from you. Together, we will come up with treatment goals. What do follow-up sessions look like? I will spend the first few minutes of the session asking about the homework assigned to you and getting any updates from you, the client. I will then start working on therapy goals with you in the session. I will also periodically check up to see if you feel like we are making progress and if you want to add or change the treatment goals. Interventions will be used to help you reach your goals and gain insight into mental health issues or circumstances.
