Azhar Waheed, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

My name is Azhar Waheed, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving individuals in Delaware and Pennsylvania. I earned my master’s degree in social work, and I’ve dedicated my life to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, structure, and support. I became a therapist because I truly believe that, with the right support, every person has the ability to overcome adversity and create meaningful change in their life. It is an honor to walk alongside others as they discover their strengths and build healthier ways of thinking, feeling and living. What stands out most about my therapeutic approach is my ability to combine structure with compassion. I don’t just provide a listening ear—I help individuals actively understand how their thoughts, beliefs, and behavioral patterns are shaping their emotional experiences. My work is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), and solution-focused therapy, which means sessions are purposeful, practical and goal-oriented. One of my greatest strengths is helping individuals identify irrational, self-defeating belief systems and replace them with healthier, more balanced thinking.
