My Practice & Services
Client centered, evidence based private practice accepting EAP, Private Pay and credentialed insurance plans. (Some aren't listed). Able to work with children through geriatrics with years of experience with each population. Special interest in trauma informed therapy as I believe we've all been through a little, but some have been through a lot. I believe in improving, healing, being able to function better as a result of mental health counselingtherapy, not only in basic care of self, prevention of aggression, reduction of impulsivity, obsessions, ruminating, and compulsive behaviors, to growth and better functioning with family, friends, peerscolleagues, at work, and in society at large. I do not provide spiritual counseling but we can consider the impact of spirituality on your healing process, when appropriate (I will refer to resources for additional spiritual guidance as that is not my specialty. I am interested in medical trauma and how to help with coping with grief, bereavement and medical issues, when needed.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
My view on the purpose of psychotherapy is to provide a framework to recover, improve or heal past functioning to the highest level practical in the present and for the future, to the point where I am no longer needed (but available if or when needed again).
