My Approach to Therapy

You look like you’re handling it. Inside, your mind is running tabs you can’t close. You’ve probably spent a long time trying to figure things out on your own. Maybe you’re overthinking, second-guessing yourself, or holding yourself to impossible standards, managing fine on the outside while exhausted by the effort it takes. Therapy with me isn’t about sitting in silence while you do all the talking. Most of my clients arrive saying some version of the same thing: “I know what I should do. I just can’t seem to do it.” That gap, between understanding your patterns and actually changing them, is exactly where my work lives. Together, we’ll explore why certain patterns keep showing up, where they came from, and what to do differently. We’ll pair insight with practical strategies so you can spend less time stuck in your head and more time trusting yourself and your decisions. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York, and I work with adults navigating attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I’ll challenge you when it helps and support you when you need it, but therapy with me will always feel like a conversation, not a lecture or a checklist.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I work with adults who are stuck in patterns of overthinking, self-doubt, and constant mental noise. Most have spent years trying to understand why they think, feel, and react the way they do. What they can’t figure out is why that understanding hasn’t actually changed anything. That gap between knowing and doing is where most of my work lives. I help people untangle what’s keeping them stuck, quiet the constant self-criticism, and start trusting their own judgment again. Whether the presenting issue is ADHD, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, people-pleasing, or relationship patterns that keep repeating, the underlying thread is often the same: somewhere along the way, they stopped trusting themselves.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I have ADHD and anxiety. That’s not a disclaimer—it’s part of why I understand this work so deeply. When someone tells me they spent three hours doing everything except the one thing they needed to do, I’m not trying to imagine what that’s like. I know exactly how it happens, and more importantly, I know it’s not a character flaw. Living with the same kinds of challenges many of my clients face gives me a different perspective in the therapy room. Along with nearly two decades of clinical experience, I bring firsthand understanding of what it takes to function when your brain works this way. That doesn’t mean my experience is the same as yours—but it does mean you won’t have to spend half the session convincing me that what you’re going through is real.

Groups I Work With

I primarily work with adults and young adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Many of my clients feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or constantly questioning themselves. They often know what they want to do but struggle to follow through or trust themselves enough to do it. I also enjoy working with healthcare professionals, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals navigating adoption or blended family dynamics.
