My Approach to Therapy

I have been in the field of therapy for over 15 years, and I come from a very client-centered approach. I believe that we all have a right to develop our own way of healing our pain. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania, I believe in accepting all of my clients where they are in their life struggles and helping them heal and start to feel better about themselves. I feel it’s important to help people feel that they are not going through their struggles alone. I believe we all need to know and realize that someone cares.

My Practice & Services

I accept most major insurances, including Medicare, UPMC Health Plan, High Mark, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and PPO Blue. I also have a sliding scale fee service as well. In addition, groups are now forming on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for people in early recovery starting September 19th 2013. Sunday afternoon family group from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., for families who have a loved one who is in addiction, starting September 22, 2013. I also have a grief group very specific for families who have lost a loved one to alcoholism andor addiction also starting September 22, 2013, on Sunday evenings from 5 p.m. to 6:30 pm.
