I believe that therapy is most helpful when it is an experience and not just talking about thoughts. As a relational psychodynamic therapist, I think there is a lot to be gained from having more insight and clarity into ourselves and the ways we function in the world and our relationships. As a somatically informed therapist, I think building awareness of our bodies and what they are telling us opens up even more avenues for healing, especially when insight doesn't feel like it is enough. I work holistically and from a trauma-informed lens to combine the two in a way that is uniquely right for you and your needs. To this end, I have completed foundational training in Sensorimotor Therapy for trauma, a somatic psychotherapy, as well as a three-year training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, a modality which combines psychoanalytic insight and depth with a focus on our bodies and emotions. The style of therapy I practice is active and collaborative, focusing not only on intellectual insight but also on helping you to have a new, meaningful experience. I believe a good therapy relationship, like any good relationship, allows us to feel seen, heard, and compassionately challenged to grow and create the change we want in our lives.
I have experience and a passion for working with clients through a faith-based lens, including Christian counseling, healing from spiritual trauma, or deconstruction. I also enjoy working with clients living with anxiety, depression, disordered eating, body image, self-esteem struggles, relationship or workplace difficulties, and those walking through grief. I have worked in various settings, from helping students better learn when addressing their emotional needs to providing family reunification services to people who have been formerly incarcerated.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and I’m so glad you’ve taken the first step by exploring your options. Whether you’re looking to heal from past trauma, make sense of difficult relationships, or feel less weighed down by everyday stressors, you don’t have to figure it out on your own. I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including sexual and physical abuse, family conflict, relationship and intimacy challenges, low self-worth, and depression. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, and I’m trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). While these approaches are powerful tools, I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. I take time to understand your unique experiences, strengths, and goals so treatment feels supportive, collaborative, and tailored to you. I believe healing is possible, and my role is to walk alongside you as you move toward it. Finding the right therapist can be overwhelming; when you’re ready, I welcome you to reach out with questions and see if we might be a good fit.
If you’re here, something likely feels off. Maybe you’re exhausted from holding things together, stuck in the same arguments, or feeling disconnected from yourself or the people you love. You might not know exactly what needs to change, but you know something does. I work with individuals and couples who want more than surface-level coping. My approach is honest, steady, and compassionate. Together, we slow things down enough to understand what’s really happening beneath the surface. We look at patterns that keep you stuck, how they formed, and how to respond differently moving forward. Therapy with me is collaborative and active. I’ll listen carefully, ask direct questions when needed, and offer tools that fit your goals and values. I draw from relational and trauma-informed approaches, always shaping the work to you, not forcing you into a formula. You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. We’ll take this one step at a time, building clarity, trust, and a stronger sense of connection along the way.
Welcome. I believe that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and collaboration. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of criticism. Together, we'll work to better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build on your existing strengths, and develop practical strategies to help you move toward a more fulfilling life. My approach is integrative and tailored to each individual's unique needs. Drawing from cognitive-behavioral, dialectical, relational, and other evidence-based approaches, I adapt therapy to fit your goals rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity development, life transitions, or the stresses of everyday life, I strive to provide therapy that is compassionate, insightful, and grounded in practical change. I have particular expertise in working with postpartum mood and anxiety disorders and completed advanced training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International. I have extensive experience supporting college students, graduate students, and young professionals through my years working in university counseling centers. I also provide LGBTQ+ affirming care, creating a welcoming and inclusive space where clients can explore issues related to identity, relationships, and life transitions with authenticity and support. Above all, I value creating a therapeutic experience where you feel understood, respected, and empowered to make lasting change.

I am a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)) with 8 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. Welcome. I’m glad you’ve taken this step to move forward in your life. We all experience places in our lives where we need support and new skills, in order to move beyond where we are, which often is causing pain in our lives. I bring experience and a strong skillset to our sessions, having worked with my clients around stress, depression, anxiety, relationship bumps, childhood issues, social anxiety, difficulty managing emotions, avoidance of conflict, and feeling stuck. In addition to traditional therapy skills, I integrate breathing skills, relaxation skills, and the practice of mindfulness into our sessions. Often, your ability to slow things down in a stressful situation in order to stay totally present on what is happening, allows you the opportunity to make changes in your life. I realize that the relationship I create with my clients really impacts their path forward. It’s important to feel comfortable, heard, and not judged, in order to openly explore your thoughts and feelings, and begin to take some risks by thinking and behaving differently. A good fit is important, so I offer a thirty-minute complimentary phone consultation. It gives us the opportunity to talk more about your focus, you can experience my style, and I can share ideas of how I could work with you. Everyone is at a different place when they take this first step. I find that I work well with clients who want to move beyond venting and are ready to create real change in their life. I bring experience, a belief in your ability to make positive change in your life, and a willingness to accompany you on the journey.
