My approach in therapy is collaborative, supportive, and goal oriented.
My belief is that with support and opportunities for self-expression all of us can grow into happier, healthier, more balanced and connected individuals. I integrate mindfulness, meditation, and art-making with verbal therapy to provide clients with opportunities for increased self-awareness and self-compassion. My approach is holistic; believing that mind-body-spirit and past-present-future are inextricably linked. Therapy is a journey we embark on together with an attitude of compassion and curiosity.
Looking for a therapist can feel daunting and overwhelming, especially when you're feeling stuck, desperate, or confused. I'm happy you've landed on my profile. Allow me to be a partner in your healing journey. Together we'll explore what brings you into therapy. We'll examine your current and past relationships and how those have influenced your beliefs about yourself. We'll build a new relationship together based in safety and trust. Throughout our work, I will share with you not only my observations, but my feelings and experiences of what you're saying. We'll identify and process your emotions in real time, and we'll connect to your physical body to understand how those emotions are showing up for you physically. Throughout this process, you will learn. to be kinder and more compassionate to yourself, experience that care and compassion from me, and above all, address the feelings that led you to therapy in the first place.

You don’t have to have the right words or have it all figured out to begin. Therapy is a space where you get to show up as your real, unedited self. In high-stakes environments getting over it is not a strategy, it is a liability. True resilience is not found in suppressing stress, but in mastering the nervous system that governs your decision-making, creativity, and presence. While traditional talk therapy addresses the mind, complex stress and burnout are physiological. They reside in the nervous system, areas often inaccessible to logic and conversation alone. I provide a sophisticated, integrative approach for individuals who require more than just a sounding board. I integrate Somatic Experiencing with Creative Arts Therapy to bridge the gap between cognitive insight and physical regulation. We move beyond survival mode and into a state of expanded capacity. This is not about fixing what is broken; it is about optimizing your internal architecture for connection, resilience, and sustained ease. Core Areas of Expertise Executive Burnout & Nervous System Regulation: Rewiring a system stuck in high-cortisol fight or flight to restore mental clarity and physical vitality. Relational Intelligence & Boundaries: Navigating complex interpersonal dynamics and attachment patterns to enhance both professional and private leadership. High-Stakes Transitions: Maintaining an internal home and sense of self during significant career pivots, identity shifts, or personal loss. Complex Trauma Resolution: Utilizing a paced, somatic approach to process deep-seated wounds without compromising your daily functioning. Our work is collaborative, discreet, and highly specialized. Whether we are utilizing movement to release chronic tension or creative visualization to solve unspoken blocks, the process is tailored to your specific pace and lifestyle. We do not just discuss your narrative; we transform the physical experience of your life.
My approach to therapy is humanistic, collaborative, and creative. I work alongside my clients to help them explore relationship patterns (with self and others), examine complicated feelings, and build self-confidence. My role is to facilitate my clients' movement towards change, and to help them reach their individual goals. I'm an engaged listener. I allow space for reflection and empathy while bringing focus on my clients' strengths. I combine traditional talk therapy with art making to help my clients gain a greater understanding of themselves. I believe creativity and self-expression are keys to growth that lead to insight. Creativity allows for self-expression, and helps to externalize inner thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I work with adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, self-esteem issues, and relationship issues. I'm passionate about adoption and attachment-related issues. I love working with adoptees of all ages who are interested in exploring their personal experiences.
I have been practicing psychotherapy with individuals and couples in New York City for over 20 years. I view all personal and interpersonal pain as a result of unresolved trauma, be it attachment trauma or trauma due to life shattering incidents, like accidents or natural disasters. I often use EMDR with my individual clients, a therapy which is very effective in clearing trauma and neutralizing triggers which lead to depression, anxiety, low self esteem, performance anxiety and interpersonal difficulties. In my work with couples I use EFT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy) a therapy which exemines emotions which guide all interactions and diferent attachment styles. I believe that effective therapy brings about growth and change and it occurs in the atmosphere of safety, trust, connection and collaboration. Safety is my first priority, the sessions are confidential and trust is the basis upon which a thrapeutic relationship is built. My reputation is that I am straight forward without being harsh and give a lot of feedback in the sessions. I work dilligently to find root causes of the problems that bring people to therapy. I appreciate that starting therapy can be both empowering and frightening. Therefore, it is the client, who sets the pace as we begin. We work as a team to try to gain historical perspective to current difficulties, insight into current issues, confront obstacles and develop coping skills, which will lead to necessary steps, strategies and changes.
Welcome! I work with clients who struggle with the psychological, emotional, and physical consequences of past and or ongoing trauma, as they try to avoid repeating personal and professional mistakes that only worsen their experiences. If these challenges sound familiar, I can help you process your trauma in a supportive, validating environment, that is empowering and ultimately freeing.
