My name is Matt Sandford and I have been practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor for 14 years now, with 16 years of total experience. I believe that creating a safe space enables people to explore and process the stuff on their minds and in their hearts, which can lead to healthiness, strength, and growth. I have a variety of experiences, but I specialize in stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, marriage, self-worth challenges, and spiritual challenges. In therapy, my approach is to find an approach that meets the client where they are at. I am familiar with CBT, Rogerian, Adlerian, Psychodynamic, and Gestalt theories. I have worked with a wide range of people in terms of age, presenting challenge(s), cultural background, and beliefs. I have particularly strong experience with folks struggling with anxiety and stress, depression, shame, self-esteem or self-worth, relationship difficulties, marital concerns, and spiritual concerns. Also, I have strong experience working with grief issues, parenting challenges, coaching, and life transitions. My style is to listen, empathize, and seek to understand, with pursuing questions to gain clarity about the concerns you bring and get to the heart of the matter. For me, the heart of the matter is not just circumstances or feelings, but how you are affected on the inside - what does it mean to you and in you. Out of my own personal struggles with shame and anxiety, I finally found myself in therapy. I discovered that it was life-changing for me, and I wanted to be involved in helping others in the same way. I have a firm belief that we all need to grow through our lives and that, for the larger things, we cannot just grow ourselves on our own. Help from others is how we all grow. I believe goal setting is worked out through collaboration, together, with you the client, and I understand that goals may be evolving as we go along. During a first session, we will go over some background information and then have time for you to share about what brought you to therapy. We can talk about expectations you may have or questions you have for me. And I will ask more about your experience to help me to develop a conceptualization of your concerns and the direction for us to go. But, I believe that we can begin working on things in the first session, so my intention is that we can begin to explore your concern and discuss some ideas on how to approach it.
Life has a way of throwing curve balls and the path becomes foggy and direction becomes less clear. Counseling can help provide clarity. I provide a holistic approach to counseling by combining expressive therapies with traditional cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches. Additionally, I value the role of spirituality in overall health and wellness. TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS.
Do you need to be a priority in your own life? Counseling allows you to begin the healing process and practice good self care so that you can for and embrace others in your life. If you want something different in your life, try something different today. I am the clinical director of Holistic Behavioral Solutions; we have been practicing counselors for 20+ years and we love what we do, it restores our passion for life and allows us to transfer this passion to you. We believe that we need to use every tool available to us to help bring out the best you. The treatment modality is primarily HUMANISTIC in nature, we are non-judgmental and feel that our clients are doing their best with their current resources. Our therapeutic space is a place for you to heal and restore.
I work with couples and individuals, and specialize in relationship issues, coping with medical illnesses, grief and loss, health behavior and lifestyle changes, life stress and transitions (including marriage, separation and divorce, infertility, work stress, life stage concerns, etc), anxiety, depression, and ADHD. A supportive and non-judgmental relationship is crucial to any effective individual or couples therapy. In creating a safe place to explore and understand where you might feel stuck, I help you learn new ways to communicate and interact in relationships, cope with life stresses and losses, deal with difficult emotions, and shift behaviors and patterns that may no longer work in your life. I view each person or couple holistically, and provide individualized interventions integrating approaches that are supported by research in order to help you gain insights, learn new communication and coping skills, and ultimately make lasting changes in your life. I am certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and have advanced training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (GMT), as well extensive training in health psychology, behavioral medicine, bereavement counseling, child and pediatric psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness based approaches, such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and insight meditation. I have also worked and published in the areas of women's health and ADHD.
I provide a client-centric approach that leans into compassion so you can feel safe and secure. Through this space, we can get curious and explore areas where you feel stuck or wounded. From here, we can help you shift toward greater health and wellness. At its core, my work focuses on your relationships, including how they impact you and how you impact them. This helps us both widen our understanding and pinpoint areas of concern.
I like to describe my therapeutic style as eclectic. I pull from many different modalities to find what works best for each individual client. I believe that nothing in life is one size fits all and therapy is no different. Each individual needs something different when they engage in therapy and I strive to help my clients based on their individual needs. I like to take time to get to know my patients at to work collaboratively with them to create goals that make sense for their lives and needs. I primarily work with adolescents, teens, and young adults. I love working with these age groups because there is so much change happening during this time in someone's life. I am a fairly casual person and (when appropriate) like to use humor to connect and engage. I also am a bit of a nerd and have at least a basic to moderate understanding of many of the things that the younger generations enjoy (video games, TikTok, memes, movies, tv, etc.). I love to use this to connect with my clients and to allow them to feel seen.
Connection in relationship is as important for us as food and water. When relationships weaken or rupture, mental health challenges can emerge. The emotional wounds that result deserve the same care and attention as physical ones, and healing can begin right now. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a master’s degree in community and trauma counseling. I am trained in evidence-based approaches that support trauma recovery and help strengthen relationships. I work with individuals, couples, and families, and my goal is to help clients create meaning, deepen connection, and move toward healing in their lives. At the heart of my work is the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful catalyst for change. Every person’s story is unique, and I approach each client with hope, curiosity, and deep respect for their experiences. Therapy with me is a collaborative process. Together, we’ll build trust, explore difficult emotions and patterns, and make space for new insight and growth. While I can’t promise specific outcomes, I can promise to walk alongside you, working toward greater connection with yourself and the people who matter most to you.
Have you experienced things in your past that continue to affect how you feel, think, or respond to life today? Perhaps you struggle with anxiety, painful memories, relationship patterns, self-doubt, or a persistent feeling of being overwhelmed. You may understand what's happening intellectually, but still find yourself reacting in ways you wish you could change. You don't have to keep carrying those experiences alone. I'm Brad Croyle, a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 25 years of experience helping adults work through trauma, anxiety, childhood experiences, and difficult life patterns. I'm an EMDR-Certified Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant, with specialized experience in trauma-focused therapy, attachment issues, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). I specialize in EMDR therapy and trauma-focused treatment, helping people process difficult experiences that may continue to influence their emotions, relationships, and everyday lives. My approach is warm, genuine, direct, and collaborative. I integrate EMDR therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other evidence-based approaches to help you process difficult experiences, develop healthier patterns, and move toward meaningful change. I believe therapy should offer more than a place to talk. It should help you gain insight, experience meaningful emotional change, and develop the confidence to move forward. You don't need to be in crisis or have everything figured out to begin. If something in your life isn't working the way you'd like, I'd welcome the opportunity to help you explore what's happening and find a way forward. I offer a free consultation so we can talk about your needs and determine whether working together would be a good fit. There's no pressure, just an opportunity to connect. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, mountain biking, photography, reading, gardening, roasting coffee, and maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over eight years of experience in the mental health field. I'm passionate about helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), trauma, low self-esteem, life transitions, poor coping skills, and chronic stress. My experience working with low-income individuals and families, combined with living with a physical disability, allows me to provide the compassionate guidance and support many clients are seeking.
I am currently accepting new clients and work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families experiencing depression, anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), substance use, eating challenges, LGBTQ+ concerns, trauma, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), relationship challenges, and behavioral issues. Using evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance-based, and experiential therapies, I focus on authentic connection, emotional insight, and compassion to support meaningful healing and growth. I help individuals, couples, and families develop insight, emotional balance, and practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. Through a collaborative and supportive approach, I focus on strengthening coping skills, improving relationships, and fostering meaningful, lasting change.
My 25+ years of experience has taught me the importance of making the time to listen and understand before I start making suggestions. This involves understanding each person's life story, administering assessment tools, reviewing relevant records, and interviewing other people that my client and I agree should be involved. I believe strongly in evaluating strengths as well as pain, with my feedback emphasizing the former. I also believe in letting my clients know about what research-based treatments are available to them so that we can collaborate in experiencing transformative change ASAP. I believe in setting life-altering goals before beginning, and checking on progress as we go. My intention is to promote healing, wellness, and happiness as thoroughly and as effectively as possible. With child and teen clients, I use a variety of methods to make each person comfortable (e.g., I use magic to connect with kids and teens, referring to myself as a wizard).
