You may have tried therapy, medication, or both and still feel caught in familiar patterns. Living with depression, anxiety, trauma, or addiction can be exhausting, especially when previous treatment has not brought the relief you hoped for. I offer a compassionate, collaborative space to understand what is keeping you stuck and explore a more personalized path forward. I am Michael Glaz, a New York-licensed mental health counselor and founder of MG Counseling Group. I work with teens and adults, including people facing complex trauma, posttraumatic stress (PTSD), and treatment-resistant depression. Together, we look at your history, your goals, and what has or has not helped before. My approach integrates eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), internal family systems (IFS), psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and body-based methods. I also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) when appropriate. Our work can help you understand persistent emotional and relationship patterns, process painful experiences, and develop practical ways to respond differently. We will shape the process together, with attention to your needs and pace. I offer individual and couples therapy in Manhattan and Woodmere, along with online sessions throughout New York. You are welcome to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to discuss what you are looking for and whether we would be a good fit.
