Looking for a therapist can feel daunting and overwhelming, especially when you're feeling stuck, desperate, or confused. I'm happy you've landed on my profile. Allow me to be a partner in your healing journey. Together we'll explore what brings you into therapy. We'll examine your current and past relationships and how those have influenced your beliefs about yourself. We'll build a new relationship together based in safety and trust. Throughout our work, I will share with you not only my observations, but my feelings and experiences of what you're saying. We'll identify and process your emotions in real time, and we'll connect to your physical body to understand how those emotions are showing up for you physically. Throughout this process, you will learn. to be kinder and more compassionate to yourself, experience that care and compassion from me, and above all, address the feelings that led you to therapy in the first place.

Leading Light Behavioral Health is more than a traditional therapy practice. We are a comprehensive, trauma-informed behavioral health teaching practice committed to helping people rewrite the “I can’t” narrative. We combine evidence-based individual, couples, child, adolescent, family, and group clinical care with psychological evaluations, community-based services, clinician training, leadership consultation, and culturally responsive treatment under one organization. Our team specializes in serving individuals, families, and communities that have historically faced barriers to quality mental health care, with particular expertise in trauma, neurodiversity, forensic and court-related evaluations, and the unique experiences of Black women. What truly makes us different is our commitment to empowering both clients and future clinicians through education, innovation, and compassionate care that recognizes strengths, restores dignity, and creates lasting change. Unlike practices that focus solely on symptom reduction, we help people build lives they do not have to recover from by integrating treatment, assessment, education, community support, and prevention into one continuum of care.
Hi, and welcome. For many people, the decision to get help can be a difficult one. I see your visit to my profile as a sign of strength and a refusal to give up. Loneliness, the inability to enjoy life, excessive worry or fear, anxiety in social situations, unhappiness or problems in personal, professional or marital relationships, not knowing what to do personally or professionally, even substance "abuse" and PTSD are issues that are interpersonal, not biological. They can be overcome within a genuinely understanding, compassionate, active, and patient therapeutic relationship. Our work is a "facilitating partnership." I specialize in helping you overcome both your painful symptoms and your life blocks. I help you answer questions you have about yourself, so that you understand yourself and can have fulfilling relationships. I'm a psychodynamic-cognitive-relational practitioner. I am sincere, transparent (yes, I give straightforward answers to your questions), accepting, and simultaneously engaged and patient. People grow by overcoming life's challenges. Good therapy happens when the person in it feels the right mix of challenge and support. I specialize in helping you find this balance.
Beginning therapy often brings a mix of hope and uncertainty, especially if you’ve been holding a lot on your own. I strive to create a space that feels grounded, collaborative, and attuned to your pace, where your nervous system and personal history are respected. You don’t need to arrive with a clear agenda—our work unfolds through curiosity and shared understanding. My work is rooted in trauma-informed, experiential therapy that looks beyond symptom relief to the emotional patterns and meanings beneath them. Together, we explore responses that may have once been adaptive or protective, with the goal of gently updating what no longer fits your present life. I approach this process with care, compassion, and deep respect for each person’s resilience. At its core, therapy with me is about creating room for authenticity and growth. Rather than pushing for change, we focus on helping you feel seen and supported in a way that allows change to emerge naturally. My hope is that this work leads to greater emotional freedom, clarity, and a stronger sense of connection—to yourself, and to the relationships that matter most.
I specialize in providing traditional psychotherapy with an integrative, holistic approach. Our work begins with assessing not only emotional and psychological health, but also physical, spiritual and sexual wellness. I believe the mind and body are inexorably entwined, with each affecting the functioning of the other. I strive to provide a warm, supportive space in which we can create a plan to improve whole-person wellness and self-care.
