You may be here because something in your life no longer makes sense the way it used to. Maybe a relationship has been shaken by betrayal or conflict. Maybe you feel stuck, disconnected, anxious, or unsure of who you are or what comes next. Or maybe you know something needs to change, but you haven't been able to change it on your own. I can help you slow things down, understand what's happening beneath the surface, and figure out what to do with it. My style is active, warm, and direct. I won't just sit back and nod while you do all the work. I'll ask questions, help you notice patterns, and sometimes challenge you when I think there's something important you might not be seeing. At the same time, therapy isn't about me telling you how to live your life. My job is to help you understand yourself more clearly so you can make choices that actually fit the person you want to be. We'll pay attention not only to what's happening now, but also to the experiences, relationships, and beliefs that may have shaped how you got here. That can mean exploring old wounds and attachment patterns, and it also means looking closely at what happens in your life today: how you respond when you feel hurt, what you do when conflict gets uncomfortable, what you avoid, and what keeps repeating even when you want something different. There's room in my office for emotion, humor, frustration, uncertainty, and uncomfortable conversations. You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what's wrong or what you want from therapy. We can figure that out together. What matters is that you're willing to be curious about yourself and open to doing something different.
I believe that therapy helps people heal from present and past wounds, empowering them for struggles to come. My mission as a therapist is to help clients to identify those negative influences and help them make positive changes so they discover who they are, bring in purpose and fulfillment, with the overall goal to live their best life yet. Every person has the ability to positively change, and I will collaboratively work with each client to help them do that. I am trained in and use EMDR to treat and relieve PTSD, acute stress, and anxiety symptoms resulting from traumatic and other life experiences. EMDR therapy can produce elevated emotional and somatic reactions during and after treatment. A typical client experiences a 60-90% reduction in stress as a result of completed treatment. I also have advanced training in R-TEPG-TEP (Recent Traumatic Event Protocol and Group Traumatic Event Protocol). I use a conversational and collaborative approach. These are your sessions and you know yourself best, we can talk about and work on anything you want to work on. I always send emails within 24 hours of getting a referral. Please remember to check your junkspam folders if you have not received anything.
If you were less triggered, more empathic and patient, working toward goals, embracing meaningful and rich relationships, or living life to the fullest, how would your life look? Tending to the unhealthy parts of yourself can help you heal the past and take you into a happier life. I help people achieve this goal by offering guidance and insight, often in less time than you might expect. I help clients locate the wisdom that lies within themselves. We explore past wounds, work on painful current issues, and work toward more fulfilling and joyous lives. Within the confines of a judgment-free environment, I journey with my clients on their paths toward their best selves. My clients frequently report that they're comfortable with me. I work with a variety of issues, including childhood trauma and loss, grief, pregnancy, parenting, and communication between couples. I'm proactive, relying on a combination of proven approaches. My work is about helping clients find meaning in their lives and peace in their relationships. I'm honored to witness my lives transform their lives and gain happiness. I've passionated worked with couples, children, adults, families, and teens on a variety of issues for 25 years.
As a dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist, my primary goal is to help couples navigate through the complex and often painful journey of overcoming infidelity and betrayal. My approach is rooted in Emotional Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), a method proven to foster deeper bonds and heal emotional wounds within relationships. By focusing on the emotional undercurrents of your relationship, I guide couples through a process of understanding, empathy, and reconnection. In addition to EFT, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma resolution therapy. These techniques are particularly effective for individuals and couples grappling with the aftereffects of traumatic experiences, including the deep emotional impact of infidelity. EMDR, for instance, is a powerful tool in helping you process and release the emotional distress tied to traumatic memories. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of each couple. I strive to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where both partners feel heard and understood. Whether we are working through the challenges of rebuilding trust or addressing individual traumas that affect your relationship, my commitment is to guide you towards healing and a stronger, more resilient bond. Embarking on this therapeutic journey can be the first step towards a renewed connection and a brighter future for your relationship. Let's work together to navigate these challenges and move towards a place of deeper understanding and love.
We all want to be heard when something is bothering us. Having someone hear us when we are upset can mean a lot. It can also feel good to have someone to vent to when a day has been long. I am interested in helping you through life's struggles and setting goals for the future. I'm also here to guide and support you through difficult experiences. I am here to listen because sometimes you may need to share when life changes, or need help processing what has happened. I want to be there for you even when the day is neither good nor bad. I am here.
My approach is very interactive. I believe that open communication between client and therapist is number one. I believe that in order to be an effective therapist there needs to be communication and feedback from all parties involved. I believe in utilizing techniques that empower the clients instead of enabling them. This I have found to be paramount to their success. Although my area of speciality is with children and families, I have extensive experience working with adults and couples I am a short term results oriented therapist who believes in the fact that most clients are the most motivated and achieve the greatest success within the first 6 months or less of counseling. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I am sorry for what you are going through, and please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you andor your family during this difficult time.

Are you relationships suffering because of your inability to cope with whatever is going on in your life? Do you feel that you are not living the life you envisioned for yourself and can't seem to figure out how to get there? Is something keeping you stuck? If you have answered yes to any of these I am here to help and support you. Life can be difficult but you do not need to feel alone in whatever situation you are in. I provide a safe space and work to start to change your relationship with yourself and examine thinking and behaviors that might be working against your goals. I utilize different modalities in session based on what your specific needs are. I also utilize mindfulness in my practice as a way of quieting the mind and getting to your authentic truth. I believe in helping people find their true voice, express difficult feelings in order to pass through discomfort and pain, and live an authentic life. I honor the process and will help you reduce any shame while promoting self-confidence and restore balance and calm.
You may find yourself in unsatisfying relationships and unable to make decisions. Becoming stuck can lead to a host of destructive thoughts and emotions that if left unattended can greatly decrease your quality of life. I am highly skilled in helping others gain awareness and live by healthy boundaries, thereby increasing self-esteem and self-worth. I would be happy to help you on your journey of self-discovery and renewal. Through the therapeutic relationship, I offer an empathic and empowering setting to explore, process, and grow in order to achieve a rewarding life. For teens, this time is an exciting transition between childhood and adulthood. Forming your own identity and achieving independence is the primary goal. You may be faced with many decisions, while at the same time, are increasingly aware of how others, especially peers, see you. Therapy can help in navigating through this with the purpose of increasing self-awareness and fostering healthy decision making. I am committed to providing a non-judgmental and supportive environment to assist you in finding healthy avenues to express thoughts and feelings.
My priority is to make you feel comfortable, safe, and heard so you can be yourself and share what you’re going through. I know it’s important to trust your therapist so you can let your walls down and open up. Having a good fit with your therapist is important, and I’ll do everything I can to build rapport and provide you with an encouraging and nonjudgmental space where you can heal. Using a warm, caring, and encouraging approach, I give you the time and space to open up when you’re ready. I find one of the best ways to get to make someone feel comfortable is using a sense of humor when appropriate. Anxiety,Depression, illness, and medical conditions are never easy to deal with, but I’m here to help you through the process so you can begin to heal emotionally.
I believe that we all have wounded places in our hearts that can benefit from counseling. Most people reach a point where life feels unmanageable, driving them to seek professional assistance. My work will help you to find healing from past wounds and manage present stressors in a safe and accepting environment. I will provide you with support as you work toward fulfillment in your life. I offer a compassionate, intuitive, humorous approach. I believe in the power of therapy to help you in all of your relationships whether it be couples, family, or your work enviorment. I want to help you overcome and manage obstacles that interfere with healthy living and relationships. I have various ares of specialty including trauma, depression, relationship challenges, anxiety, loss, grief, end of life challenges, and other mental health concerns.
My ideal clients are individuals, couples, and families who find themselves stuck in patterns, yet no matter how much insight they gain, still struggle to break free. These patterns often show up as repeated conflicts in relationships, infidelity, emotional shutdowns, avoidance, people-pleasing, impulsivity, substance use, or coping strategies that feel out of alignment with the life they want to lead. Whether you’re an individual wrestling with internal contradictions, a couple caught in reactive cycles, or a family overwhelmed by disconnection, we share a common yearning: a desire for authentic connection, love, and peace within. Drawing on Internal Family Systems (IFS), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), attachment theory, and holistic, energetic-based modalities, I help clients explore the internal systems and relational dynamics that shape their current struggles. This work can help you see your patterns with more clarity and compassion, freeing you to make new choices rooted in values rather than fear or habit. It’s important to understand that all behaviors, even the most harmful, often arise from an attempt to cope, survive, or self-soothe. Together, we can explore the deeper needs beneath the behavior, address what’s driving it, and work toward healing the wounds that fuel it. It would be my honor to support you on this journey, and I look forward to connecting with you.
