As a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), I specialize in the treatment of anxiety using multiple approaches to recovery.
In my professional experience, people come to therapy when they are feeling unhappy, stuck or blocked in some way and feel that they have exhausted their available resources and coping mechanisms. My role as a therapist is to serve as a guide to help the client identify and express their needs and wants, as well as assist the client in recognizing their strengths and abilities to heal and grow. I work with clients to help them understand their past experiences and current situation in order to move forward and make changes to facilitate the life and relationships they want. I am warm, compassionate, collaborative and interactive in my approach.
You might be in a season where everything feels like it's shifting and you can't quite find your footing. A relationship ending or changing. A career move. A transition you chose that still feels disorienting. Or nothing you can point to at all, just a growing sense of anxiety and overwhelm that won't let up. You're second-guessing yourself. Struggling to make decisions. Feeling more unsettled than you want to admit. I'm Roz, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Los Angeles. I work with adults navigating relational pain, anxiety, and the kind of uncertainty that gets into everything: your relationships, your sense of self, your ability to trust what you feel. My work is depth-oriented and relational. Through attunement and honest exploration, I help you navigate doubt, questioning, and confusion to find the clarity buried beneath the anxiety. I've witnessed what happens when someone finally has a space to be fully honest about what they're carrying. If this resonates, I'd love to hear from you. The first step is a free 15-minute consultation; a chance to talk, ask questions, and get a sense of whether this space feels right for you.
With 12+ years of experience, I specialize in working with couples to rebuild their relationship, intimacy, trust, and communication skills. I also specialize in working with individuals and families coping with chronic illness. My approach is to work in a collaborative team to build on strengths that naturally exist and learn additional coping skills. Each session includes real-time exercises and skills that we will work on to address your identified needs, as well as homework for you to apply between sessions to continually grow and work toward your goals.
With over 15 years of experience in the fields of human services and psychotherapy, I have had the privilege of working with folx from diverse backgrounds with varying levels of needs AND strengths. Although my practice utilizes a variety of modalities, as a Certified EMDR Therapist, I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), a neurobiological approach that targets difficult memories from the past that form problematic patterns contributing to current issues, such as difficulty trusting, perfectionism, self-doubt, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Recognizing the important role our protective system plays in healing, I also incorporate parts work to help clients learn, befriend, and develop compassion for all parts of themselves that, at times, have been in conflict and causing overwhelming internal turmoil. With the use of humanistic, mindfulness-based, and somatic techniques informed by the polyvagal theory, clients can take steps toward finding peace in the nature of impermanence and approaching life in a gentler way. I use humor, psychoeducation, and appropriate self-disclosure to help folx understand their thoughts and behaviors, even the ones that have been labeled as "dramatic" or "overreacting", from a neuro-biological perspective and trauma-informed lens. Being a Queer, First gen Asian American therapist, I am familiar with the cultural barriers and challenges QTBIPOC folx face both professionally and personally. During the darkest part of my life, I was fortunate to cross paths with healing professionals who showed me hope. Since then, I have made it my life’s mission to pass on that hope to others. I constantly strive to provide a safe, respectful, and healing space for all, especially those from underserved and marginalized communities. I am acutely aware of the collective trauma many of our communities are struggling from as oppressive, discriminating policies and hateful rhetoric are widespread all around us. My hope is to be able to offer a refuge where that painangerfear can be witnessed, shared, and when appropriate, turned into an energizing force to stand up and take up space once more. However, no healing can take place unless one can feel safe and trust in the therapeutic relationship. I truly believe that the most effective therapeutic progress stems from a collaborative, mutually respectful process between two authentic human beings. If my values and approach to therapy resonate with you, please feel free to contact me for a free consultation to determine if we would be a good fit.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or stuck in repeating patterns that aren’t working, therapy can help you regain clarity and direction. For over 17 years, I’ve worked primarily with individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship concerns. My approach is practical, supportive, and goal-oriented. Together, we identify what’s keeping you stuck, develop effective strategies, and build skills that create lasting change. I also work with couples who feel disconnected, defensive, or caught in cycles of conflict. In our work, partners learn how to communicate more directly, listen more effectively, and rebuild trust in a structured and productive way. My goal is for therapy to feel focused, collaborative, and results-driven — not just talking, but meaningful progress. I offer a free consultation so we can determine if we’re a good fit.
If you are here, you have probably done enough self-work to know insight alone is not the problem. You can explain your patterns. You understand your history. And yet something keeps repeating; in your relationships, your body, your choices. You are tired of talking about your life without actually changing how it feels to live it. I work with people who are psychologically minded and quietly dissatisfied with surface-level therapy. In our work together, I do not rush to reassure or manage symptoms. We pay attention to emotional patterns, defenses, desire, and the parts of you that learned how to survive long before you had language for what was happening. This is not about quick relief. It is about understanding what is actually driving the struggle. Therapy with me is active, relational, and honest. At times it is steady and reflective; at others it is direct and challenging. I will name patterns as they show up, including the ones that appear between us, because real change does not happen at a distance. We are not here to make you more comfortable with a life that does not fit you. We are here to help you live with more agency, integrity, and self-trust. This work asks something of you. It requires curiosity, tolerance for discomfort, and a willingness to be seen honestly. In return, it offers something rare: a deeper relationship with yourself and the possibility of living in a way that feels more authentic.
Hello, my name is Dr. Arthur Chou. I am a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who specializes in supporting teens who are struggling with attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, or other mental health concerns. They may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or unsure how to handle big emotions or life changes. Their goals are finding balance, building healthy coping skills, and improving connections with family and friends. Most of all, they want to be able to go back to just focusing on being a teen. My philosophy is to take a holistic approach that goes beyond symptoms to understand the whole teenager. I consider psychological, environmental, and biological factors, using the least medication necessary while supporting therapy and other tools. My goal is to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes growth. I understand how challenging it can be for teens and their families to navigate mental health or substance use issues, but there is a lot of reason to have hope. As part of the Evolve Adolescent Behavioral Health network, I am continually inspired by the resilience and potential of teenagers to grow and heal. Together, we can forge a path toward lasting change.
