As a Rapid Transformational Therapist , I'm passionate about helping individuals rewire their brains to project positive images and words. I believe in the power of beliefs—first you make your beliefs, and then your beliefs make you. My mission is to empower others to break free from limiting beliefs and unlock their true potential. I chose to become an RTT therapist because I find the approach both creative and innovative, and I'm excited to work with clients to help them improve their lives. I can help you identify and overcome negative thought patterns that may be holding you back. By becoming more attuned to your beliefs, you can create a brighter, more positive future for yourself. Let's work together to unleash the best version of you!

I subscribe to a holistic approach when it comes to therapy. By that I mean that I'm interested in understanding you as a complete person, rather than just a collection of symptoms or problems. I'm not interested in gathering information to support a specific diagnosis. Instead, I want to hear your story, so I can see life through your eyes and gain a better understanding of what makes you tick (as well as what might be ticking you off at the moment). Once we identify those factors, we'll have a better grasp on how to get you to a better place mentally and emotionally.
I an enthusiastic believer in the ability of people to fully heal from eating disorder, OCD, and anxiety disorders. Are you tired of fighting with your own mind? Is your relationship with food, body image, and self-esteem starting to run your life? Are you exhausted at the thought of having to make one more scary decision all by yourself? If you said "yes" to any of these questions, I want you to know that there is hope and that you can build a better life. My name is Joe Sciarretta and since 2010 I have been helping people with eating disorders, OCD, and anxiety cope with and overcome their painful patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. I am an avidly optimistic therapist for my clients and I believe that anyone, really anyone, can change. I have worked at some of the top eating disorder and mental health treatment centers in the surrounding NJ area. From those experiences I have developed a good clinical intuition on how to help people who are highly motivated, somewhat unsure, or fearful of change. My practice focuses on a few key therapeutic approaches. I draw heavily on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies (CBT) and Exposure Therapies, like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. I am an avid proponent of the 8 Keys to Recovery from an Eating Disorder book by Carolyn Costin and Gwen Grabb. I also provide Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD and trauma issues, especially when the coincide with an eating disorder. My real specialty is in helping people who are unsure of what they want out of recovery. Oftentimes change can be scary, and recovery itself can be challenging (especially at the start). This is why I focus on working with someone 'where they are at'. If you want to know more, please reach out to my office and have a conversation. I offer free phone consultations and no commitment therapy trials. Start your journey towards feeling better today.
My approach to helping is collaborative. I hope that you and I can work as a team to explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, relationships, and family history. I am an interactive therapist. I want you to feel heard, understood, and respected. Therapy is not easy and we will have to face your struggles. Therefore I want you to feel safe and comfortable. I work with honesty and transparency. We will evaluate your progress to make sure that you are working in the direction of your goals and my approach fits you. I believe therapy works best if it's consistent and weekly. With effort and determination you are likely to see positive results.

I’m Sami, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and art therapist dedicated to helping people feel truly seen and heard. Throughout my career, I’ve supported children, teens, and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex family dynamics. I also use dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in my sessions to help clients work through extreme emotions and what can feel like the aftermath of intense situations. This has shaped my belief that healing begins in a space where your story is honored, and your emotions are met with compassion rather than judgment. Together, we can work toward helping you get back in control of your story.
My style is warm, collaborative, and practical. Many clients come in dealing with anxiety, depression, OCD, procrastination, relationship stress, or feeling stuck with big decisions. Together, we clarify what matters most, build skills you can use this week, and measure what’s working. I help clients move from stress and low mood to clarity, confidence, and stronger relationships. We set clear goals, practice effective skills, and track progress together using TEAM‑CBT (Level 3), CBT, ACT, and mindfulness. Telepsychology available via PSYPACT. I’m licensed in NJ and NY, authorized via PSYPACT for telepsychology, and previously directed the Center for Psychological Services at Rutgers.
