I help Millennials and Gen Z adults navigate complicated grief. This can look like bereavement, friendship breakups, relationship loss, or major life transitions. If you are grieving a relationship, friendship, version of yourself, or the future you thought you'd have, therapy can be a space to slow down and make sense of your experience. For many Millennials and Gen Z adults, there seems to be a collective grief where the life you envisioned for yourself no longer exists. You are fearful of becoming jaded by the ever-changing, fast-paced climate that we live in. You feel this overwhelming cloud that you're almost scared to go through because what if you lose yourself in it? What if the sadness becomes too much and you feel more out of control than you already do? You've tried to push this feeling aside but somehow it keeps making its way back. As a Narrative therapist, I take a curious and collaborative approach. Our space goes beyond the tools. I ask you reflective questions to explore the stories that have shaped your relationship to loss, including the ones that may feel unfinished, hidden, or difficult to put into words. Sometimes, naming these experiences can bring a sense of grounding. Other times, it can open space for something new to emerge. We move at a pace that feels right for you, without pressure to “move on” before you’re ready.
