Find a Therapist in Oceanside, CA

I work with individuals and couples who are trying to make sense of complicated relationships, difficult life transitions, and patterns that keep repeating no matter how much insight they already have. A large part of my practice focuses on couples’ work, helping partners navigate conflict, rebuild trust after infidelity, improve intimacy, and break out of the same exhausting cycles that leave both people feeling misunderstood or disconnected. My approach is straightforward, collaborative, and tailored to the person (s) sitting in front of me. I draw from narrative therapy and solution-Focused Therapy, which means we look at the stories, patterns, and dynamics shaping your life while also focusing on practical, realistic changes. With couples, I often integrate emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help partners better understand emotional reactions, attachment patterns, protective behaviors, and the deeper needs underneath conflict. I have experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, grief, sexual trauma, sexual dysfunction, relationship conflicts, intimacy concerns, addiction, domestic violence, and complicated family dynamics. I also work with older adults navigating aging, caregiving stress, loss, identity shifts, and the emotional challenges that can come with later stages of life. A lot of the people I work with are thoughtful, self-aware, and still stuck. Some feel overwhelmed, disconnected, ashamed, angry, lonely, or unsure how things got this far off track. Others are carrying experiences they’ve never fully talked about out loud. Therapy with me is a space where you can be honest without feeling judged, overanalyzed, or pushed toward someone else’s agenda. I’m direct, engaged, and practical. I’m not going to sit quietly while you go in circles for 50 minutes. We’ll talk about what’s actually happening, what’s keeping you stuck, and what meaningful change could look like in real life, not just in theory.

When you live with constant anxiety, relational stress, or emotional burnout, just getting through the day can feel overwhelming. You might find yourself wondering why you keep getting stuck in the same painful patterns, no matter how hard you try to think differently or push through. In my practice, I go far beyond surface-level advice or simple “think positive” techniques. I believe that the ways you react, protect yourself, or struggle today are not personal failures; they are smart adaptations your body, mind, and nervous system created to help you survive earlier in life. My goal is to offer a safe, steady, and nonjudgmental space where your whole self can finally slow down and feel deeply seen. Together, we bring gentle curiosity and somatic awareness to these protective patterns. Rather than forcing rigid behavior changes from the top down, we work to release old trauma and stress from the roots up. By honoring the protective parts of yourself and caring for your nervous system, you can learn to truly trust yourself again, heal from past pain, and build a quiet, steady sense of self-worth from the inside out.

I provide professional, caring and holistic psychotherapy in a safe and supportive environment for adults, couples, teens and families. I use an integrative approach which includes CBT, Internal Family Systems, Depth Psychology, Imago and Mindfulness based therapies. The intention is to clear negative thoughts, programming, patterns, trauma and PTSD. These modalities assist in dissolving the root issues that cause anxiety, panic attacks and depression. There’s constant tension with the people who matter most – your partner, your child, your family– and it’s wearing you down. Conflict keeps resurfacing, no matter how hard you try to fix it. Conversations escalate, good intentions get misunderstood, and family dynamics pull everyone back into the same arguments. You try to stay calm and patient, but you find yourself reacting in ways you promised you wouldn’t – then wondering why it’s so hard to change. Much of this strain is shaped by how you learned to manage stress and closeness growing up, even when those patterns no longer serve you. You need a different path forward. I work with families and couples using a generational patterns lens. Together, we slow interactions down, examine how stress travels through relationships, and reduce reactivity that fuels conflict. This work helps untangle unhelpful dynamics and strengthen communication so you can respond thoughtfully instead of getting pulled into old cycles. Over time, relationships feel calmer and more balanced. You stay grounded in stressful moments, communication becomes more direct and effective, and tension relaxes. As you gain confidence, you respond in ways that reflect who you are, not just what you were taught. It’s time to make a change for you and your family. Call now for a free consultation.

I deeply value peoples' ability to be honest and kind to themselves so they can recognize when change is needed, but also forgive themselves for having struggled... because struggling is human. We all struggle, we all make mistakes, and we all have been in a place where we may not have presented as our best selves. Things in life can be difficult and we may lose sight of our importance and value in this life. I want you to know that I am here to remind you that you matter and that you are so much stronger than you realize or may give yourself credit for. I am here to help you recognize detrimental patterns that were once helpful and no longer serve a purpose, and also find strengths that you can utilize to help you live a fulfilling life that you are proud of. Together we will explore the motivations behind the patterns that currently get in your way, so you can begin your journey to where you deserve to be. I have experience working with all ages of clients that have struggled with ADHD, trauma, grief, communication, relationships, self-esteem, and more. I am incredibly passionate about working with couples and assisting with identifying the deeper roots of their struggles, so each member can get what they need and the couple can rebuild from the ground up.

I believe that therapy helps people heal from present and past wounds, empowering them for struggles to come. My mission as a therapist is to help clients to identify those negative influences and help them make positive changes so they discover who they are, bring in purpose and fulfillment, with the overall goal to live their best life yet. Every person has the ability to positively change, and I will collaboratively work with each client to help them do that. I am trained in and use EMDR to treat and relieve PTSD, acute stress, and anxiety symptoms resulting from traumatic and other life experiences. EMDR therapy can produce elevated emotional and somatic reactions during and after treatment. A typical client experiences a 60-90% reduction in stress as a result of completed treatment. I also have advanced training in R-TEPG-TEP (Recent Traumatic Event Protocol and Group Traumatic Event Protocol). I use a conversational and collaborative approach. These are your sessions and you know yourself best, we can talk about and work on anything you want to work on. I always send emails within 24 hours of getting a referral. Please remember to check your junkspam folders if you have not received anything.

What typically brings one to seek a therapist is a crisis of some kind, whether it be personal, spiritual, or professional. And of course, there is therapeutic value in acquiring support and guidance in a safe and confidential way. However, therapy can offer so much more than learning healthy coping mechanisms, improving communication skills, and gaining a deeper understanding of oneself. It is my personal belief that our deepest desires come from a yearning for individual wholeness, a form of consciousness that comes from the depths of our psyche; a process which is completely unique for each individual. The only way to expand consciousness is by exploring our unconscious world and the best and really the only way to do that is through dream work. Psyche intends for us to expand consciousness, to bring to fruition our fullest self, and the only method it has to communicate with us is through symbols. Understanding the meaning of the specific symbols the psyche has provided to you in dreams is the core of my work. It is through the insights gained from interpreting the symbol of the dream that we can embark on a journey that Carl Gustav Jung named the individuation process. So, despite what initially brings you to my practice should you decide, it is a privilege to be entrusted with the personal and private inner workings of your individual psyche. This work is sacred, and it is my promise to provide a safe space for your unconscious content to unfold and reveal the gift of individual consciousness to your higher Self.

I offer trauma-informed therapy that integrates somatic healing, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), sound-based practices, and nature-centered grounding.
