The length of a withdrawal period depends on the drug and the individual. Light green represents the minimum withdrawal time. Dark green represents the maximum withdrawal time. Substance abuse treatment can reduce the severity of withdrawal symptoms.

  • Alcohol: 3-10 days
  • Caffeine: 2-9 days
  • Cannabis: 7-14 days
  • Cocaine: 7-14 days
  • Heroin: 5-10 days
  • Nicotine: 14-28 days
