Desert Hills of New Mexico provides a full continuum of behavioral health services, from sub-acute residential treatment to community-based programs, for children and adolescents ages 6 to 18 who have been struggling with addiction, behavioral and mood disorders, and/or mental health disorders.

About Our Center

In the years since we opened in 1990, Desert Hills has grown from a small residential program to the largest provider of behavioral health services for the state of New Mexico. We currently provide care at three locations in the Albuquerque area. At Desert Hills we proudly provide a full range of care services for children, adolescents, and their families. We strive to use evidence-based modalities and provide each member of our staff with ongoing training and supervision to ensure that all treatment services are being appropriately implemented. Not only do we offer specialized residential treatment that is customized for each patient, but we also offer programs that are culturally sensitive. Furthermore, we are Joint Commission Accredited and are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care. Our treatment philosophy emphasizes patient-focused, family-centered, strength-based care. We ensure that all members of our treatment staff are able to work together to provide our patients and their families with inner wealth and opportunities for growth. The broad scope of specialty programs at Desert Hills helps us to ensure that each patient in every unit has the highest likelihood of achieving long-term success.
