Making the choice to pursue therapy is a big step and it can be both empowering and intimidating. I like to create a safe, non-judgemental space, where clients feel supported and comfortable in the therapeutic environment. I take a calm and empathetic approach, giving clients space to express themselves openly while guiding them gently through their challenges.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia with 5 years of experience supporting people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I use a warm, collaborative approach and evidence-based methods to support healing, self-discovery, and meaningful change. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered.
I believe in the intrinsic worth of all human beings. I believe that many people do not see their value because it is overshadowed by the shame caused by their perceptions of who they should be and what they should be achieving. There are many reasons why these distortions exist; but one thing is for certain, it creates a feeling of being a fraud and deep shame. A lot of time and energy is used to counteract this secret shame. I feel that it is important to help teens and adults to become authentic and accepting of their strengths and weaknesses instead of putting our emotional and physical energy in denying and being afraid of our humanness. It is exhausting and paralyzing to be so afraid of our imperfections. I believe there is value in accepting our own humanity. We have to climb off our self imposed pedestal which is secretive and isolating and connect with other human beings without the fear of being discovered a fraud. It is so freeing and meaningful.

Welcome! For many people, our sense of well-being and happiness as an individual can feel difficult to find at times. I am committed to helping people find their "best self" through supportive and focused counseling sessions. Using a person's unique strengths, recognizing their wants and needs, and focusing on self-care and coping strategies are helpful elements of my counseling sessions. I enjoy working with people who would like to make changes such as reducing anxiety and worry, and removing obstacles to success, whether they are present-day struggles or things from the past that "weigh us down." Everyone deserves a chance to be heard and to improve their daily life!
