My approach to providing therapy is an eclectic and modern in order to help my clients meet their goals. I believe in being empathic, compassionate, hopeful, and relatable. I know that seeking help is one of the hardest things to do, therefore I provide a comfortable, relaxing, and private office space to keep my clients confidentiality as a top priority.

I believe that while you are the expert in your own life, that I can help you to expand your picture of the problem and to find new possibilities for change. Whether our sessions together are with you individually, or if you come as part of a couple or family, I tend to view people as embedded in various relationships. I believe people grow in their personal, social, and professional relationships and it is my mission to help you resolve conflict, establish resources and improve the skills needed to enhance how you feel about your self, your life and your relationships that are such a significant part of who you are. "To bring anything into your life, imagine that it's already there."

My approach to therapy is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded. I work with adults and professionals who want to better understand the patterns shaping their emotions, relationships, and decision making. Together, we slow down what feels overwhelming, develop insight, and identify practical ways to create meaningful and lasting change. I aim to provide a calm, supportive space where clients can speak openly, gain clarity, and build greater confidence in themselves and their choices.

I help people make sense of the moments when life stops feeling manageable. Many of my clients are couples who love each other but can’t stop hurting each other, individuals healing from betrayal, or professionals who have achieved success but lost their sense of meaning. My style is warm, grounded, and depth-oriented. Together, we move beyond coping skills into understanding what your emotions and patterns are trying to tell you. Therapy isn’t just about getting through the hard parts, it’s about rediscovering yourself along the way.

With nearly twenty years of experience, I help parents, individuals, and couples understand what’s beneath the surface so they can communicate more effectively, reconnect with what matters, and create meaningful shifts in their home and relationships. My style is warm, direct, and grounded. I work well with people who worry therapy won’t help, or haven’t found the right fit before. Clients often say that having space to feel understood helps them move forward with more confidence and calm. I offer the time, presence, and thoughtful guidance to make sense of what’s been getting in the way. I work with couples and individuals who feel unsatisfied in their marriage, are contemplating separation or divorce, or are having a difficult time parenting together or co-parenting apart. I help individuals and couples discover what is possible for their relationship, find balance, confidence, and peace in parenting, and learn and grow as individuals. When I work with kids and teens, I also include the parents in the process. The parent-child relationship is vital in the development of healthy self-esteem and the health of future relationships. In my office, I meet kids and teens where they are and at their maturity level. I am a registered play therapist, utilizing age-appropriate spaces and activities that allow kids and teens to express themselves, grow, and develop emotionally. I offer in-person sessions in Plano and North Dallas, and virtual telehealth sessions anywhere in Texas.

One of the most empowering things we do in a lifetime is to make a decision. Some of our greatest suffering comes from indecision, uncertainty, and self-doubt. Having been in the trenches of life's ordeals, I strive to provide my clients an authentic connection that is more laid back and personal, rather than too clinical or rigid. In my approach, you don't have to worry about being analyzed, judged, or labeled. Instead, you can feel comfortable and confident knowing that, along with my experience, we are simply two people, having a meaningful conversation, one which can reveal your best and happiest self, your healthiest relationship- much like finding gems long-hidden on a casual hike around a mountain. You decide how high you want us to go, and how many gems you'd like to find. If important to you, my work also explores and offers insights relating to values, meaning, purpose, decision-making and wisdom, as well as ideas for lasting success and fulfilment. My clients also experience unique and empowered results in dealing with grief, depression, stress and anxiety, managing anger, and finding their 'Calling' and career path.

The most important element for positive change in a person’s life through therapy is the therapeutic alliance. This is why I will work with you to ensure you agree with treatment, goals, and a positive bond can be formed. I have the utmost respect for all clients who reach out for guidance. I understand the courage, perseverance, and vulnerability it takes to begin therapy. As a licensed clinical social worker, I take a kind, nonjudgmental approach so that you are better able to recognize what you need from sessions. I am not there to tell you what to do or how to do it, but rather to guide you in figuring that out for yourself. I will meet you where you are. I have worked with clients experiencing a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship issues, academic stress, and more. I am flexible and curious and will tailor treatment to you. I have experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. I am trauma-informed, humanistic, and culturally sensitive. In addition to the private practice setting, I have spent three years working in the acute inpatient psychiatric hospital in Austin. I received my Bachelor’s of Arts from Lewis & Clark College and my Master’s of Science in Social Work from Steve Hicks School of Social Work at the University of Texas-Austin. I strive to not only understand my clients but also the different systems in which they operate, from home to work, to school, and beyond. I have a strong commitment to social justice and empowering clients to create positive change in their lives. Whether you are seeking therapy for the first time, or already have some familiarity with therapy, I would be honored to be the clinician to accompany you on this journey towards improved mental well-being and self- understanding.
