My Approach to Therapy

A personalized non-judgmental empathetic approach for individuals suffering from anxiety, depression and relationship issues. Experienced in trauma recovery including male survivors of sexual assault & child abuse. LGBTQ+ Friendly. I work with individuals in my practice on a wide variety of issues. There is an underlying focus however, on relational issues (such as feelings of loneliness and isolation, depression and anxiety, communication and conflict, connection and disconnection). Some of the work I do with individuals is centred around understanding the impact of earlier life events on their current experience. In addition to my TIRP training, I have experience in trauma recovery. This includes survivors of sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse. I know that healing from life's difficult challenges can be unbelievably frightening and difficult; sometimes it's the most difficult thing there is to do. But I also know that it can be done, and on the other side of it is a better, more joyful life; the life you deserve. I would be honoured to be with you on your healing journey.

My Practice & Services

If you choose to work with me, I will strive to create a safe, respectful and meaningful relationship with you. I will listen carefully, with empathy and without judgement. Sometimes I ask a lot of questions in order to understand, to the best of my ability, what things are like for you. In working together to help me understand your story, usually what happens is that things start to make more sense for you too. Confusion often gives way to clarity.
