What's My Approach to Therapy?

As you search for the right therapist, please know that I see each person as an individual with a unique path or life story. I have found that uncomfortable feelings or problematic behaviors often result from being out of sync with that path, with oneself, so to speak. I was a visual artist before entering the counseling field, over 20 years ago. And I view the therapy process as similar to painting in many respects. It is my honor to assist clients in their creative journeys toward wholeness and well-being.

My Practice & Services

Whether it be anxiety, depression, grief & loss, relationship difficulties, or family conflict that is bringing you to therapy, I can assist you in working through these issues as well as other life challenges. I offer an eclectic, practical, and conversational approach, drawing on experience gained as a hospital and community counseling agency therapist in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in private practice in Houston, Texas, and currently in Dripping Springs, Texas. My education is strongly Jungian and depth-oriented, and I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional - Level 2. In addition, I utilize EMDR for the gentle resolution of traumatic experiences that may underlie current distress.

My Role as a Therapist

Taking the step to contact a therapist does not reflect weakness but rather courage and self-responsibility. Sometimes we need a guide to walk alongside us to clarify, question, and provide a new perspective. I appreciate your having visited my GoodTherapy page, and I welcome your further inquiry about my practice. I will be happy to talk with you briefly by phone to see if I am the right therapist for you. Wishing you all the best...
