My Approach to Therapy

I support women's issues, somatic symptoms, obsessive-compulsive (OCD), living with adult attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), anxiety, depression, relational issues, and trauma processing. Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, or disconnected from yourself or others can make everyday life feel much harder than it should. You might notice yourself withdrawing, feeling stuck in patterns you dont like, or unsure where to begin making changesmaybe youve already tried a variety of ways to help yourself, and are still struggling. I work with adults who want to better understand whats getting in their way, and develop more effective, meaningful ways of coping. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that youre not broken, something important just needs attention and care. Together, well explore whats beneath your struggles, build on your strengths and values, and support real shifts toward feeling more connected, grounded, and fulfilled. Support can make it easier to face what feels overwhelming. I offer a supportive space where you can make sense of your experiences and move toward the life you want with greater ease. I invite you to reach out for a free 30-minute consultation to see if working together feels like a good fit.

My Practice & Services

My orientation to therapy is also informed by 25 years of yoga and meditation practice. I'm a registered yoga instructor and integrate somatic practices into therapy.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

Connection is key! The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of change and healing and can account for 30% of the therapy outcomes. While credentials are important, the kind of techniques used account for only 15% of outcomes. Consult at least 3 therapists before making a decision, and express any concerns or blocks that you believe could get in the way of the therapy, or the therapeutic alliance. See how the therapist responds to these concerns, particularly if you've had negative experiences in the past. It's important to ask yourself, do I feel safe, respected and really heard? If the connection doesn't feel right after the first or second session, it's ok to move on. I offer a 30-minute consultation by video as this can help get a feel for what it's like to work together.
