My Approach to Therapy
Do you find yourself caught in cycles of overthinking, intrusive thoughts, checking, or seeking reassurance? Maybe you're constantly analyzing your thoughts, questioning your decisions, or struggling with the need to feel certain. When anxiety or obsessive-compulsive challenges (OCD) start taking up too much space in your life, it can be exhausting.
I work with adults navigating OCD, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts, incorporating approaches such as exposure and response prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we can explore these patterns, practice responding differently to uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, and work toward a life guided more by your values than by fear.
I incorporate exposure and response prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into my work with OCD and anxiety. ERP involves gradually facing feared thoughts, situations, or uncertainties while practicing not responding with compulsions. ACT focuses on changing how you relate to difficult thoughts and feelings so you can take meaningful action in line with your values, even when discomfort is present.
Our work is collaborative and tailored to your needs, goals, and readiness for change.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you've been trying to manage things on your own. You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
If you're looking for support with OCD, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, or relationship concerns, I welcome the opportunity to explore whether we might be a good fit. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll work together toward goals that feel meaningful to you.

OCD and Anxiety Focus
Living with OCD can feel exhausting. Intrusive thoughts, repeated checking, mental reviewing, and reassurance-seeking can take up significant time and energy. You may find yourself trying to resolve every doubt or achieve a level of certainty that never seems to last.
Therapy can help you explore these patterns and practice responding differently to uncertainty and distress. I incorporate ERP and ACT to help clients work toward reducing the influence of compulsions, changing their relationship with intrusive thoughts, and making room for activities and relationships that matter to them.
You don't have to eliminate every uncomfortable thought or feeling to begin living a meaningful life. Our work will focus on your individual experiences, goals, and readiness for change.
Couples Therapy
Relationships can become difficult when the same arguments keep happening, communication breaks down, or partners feel emotionally disconnected. You may love each other while struggling to understand one another or find a way forward.
I work with couples to explore recurring patterns, understand underlying emotional needs, and develop healthier ways of communicating. My approach incorporates attachment-based perspectives to help partners build understanding, navigate conflict, and work toward greater connection.
Whether you're hoping to strengthen your relationship, address ongoing difficulties, or better understand your options moving forward, therapy can provide a space to explore these concerns together.
