My Approach to Therapy

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker offering virtual therapy across Oklahoma and walk and talk therapy in the Tulsa area for teens, women, and LGBTQIA+ clients. I specialize in ADHD, autism, AuDHD, anxiety, OCD, phobias, codependency, and life transitions. You may have spent your whole life being told you are too much or not enough. Maybe you have been masking at school or work and falling apart at home. Maybe you were called gifted and lazy in the same breath. Maybe you are just now getting a diagnosis at 25 or 35 or 45 and suddenly everything makes sense and nothing makes sense at the same time. You do not have to keep doing this alone. I am neurodivergent myself, and that lived experience shapes everything about how I show up. When you sit across from me, you are not sitting across from someone who read about your experience in a textbook. You are sitting across from someone who gets it from the inside. My approach is collaborative, trauma informed, and neurodivergent affirming. I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution focused work, and I weave in whatever fits the person in front of me. For Tulsa area clients who want to move while we talk, I also offer walk and talk therapy outdoors. Sometimes the body needs to move for the brain to land. If you are wondering whether we might be a fit, reach out. A consultation costs nothing and tells you a lot.

My Practice & Services

I offer virtual sessions across Oklahoma and walk and talk therapy in the Tulsa area for clients who want to move while they talk. Sometimes a couch is exactly right. Sometimes a trail is better. We can figure out what works for you. Learn more about the outdoor program at https:www.alatherapycollective.comneurodivergent-outdoor-therapy-tulsa. I have evening and weekend availability, which is rare in the Oklahoma market. If your schedule has made therapy feel impossible to fit in, reach out. My practice is part of Ala Therapy Collective, a flock of clinicians who believe therapy should feel like a collective sigh of relief. We are unapologetically progressive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and neurodivergent friendly. Learn more about me and book a free consultation at https:www.alatherapycollective.comtaylor-hendricks. Ala Therapy Collective is in network with most major insurance plans, and a sliding scale is available starting at $125 per session for clients who need it.
