My Approach to Therapy
You may understand your emotions and patterns deeply, yet still find yourself stuck in the same cycles. Maybe you’re questioning things like, “Why do I care so much about disappointing people?”, “Why can’t I stop thinking about every conversation afterward?”, or “Why can’t I feel my emotions?”
Maybe you constantly put other people’s needs before your own, say yes when you want to say no, or feel guilty setting boundaries. You might spend hours replaying interactions in your head, worrying you said the wrong thing, or trying to figure out how other people perceive you. Or maybe you’ve started shutting down altogether, avoiding difficult conversations, constantly distracting yourself, procrastinating, or feeling disconnected from your emotions and from yourself.
Even if you seem high-functioning on the outside, internally you may feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, stuck in self-doubt, or unsure how to slow your mind down and actually feel at peace. These struggles can show up as anxiety, burnout, overthinking, perfectionism, relationship issues, emotional avoidance, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling lost during life transitions.
I strive to create a space that feels genuine, collaborative, and human. I also incorporate attachment theory so therapy can uncover the relationship patterns that may be keeping you stuck in cycles of self-doubt and people-pleasing. My approach is grounded in helping you reconnect with yourself in a way that goes beyond just “figuring it out” intellectually. Using somatic therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy, we explore the connection between mind and body so you can better understand your emotional patterns, process what’s been difficult to carry, and begin healing the deeper experiences driving anxiety, self-doubt, emotional disconnection, and relationship counseling.
Together, we move at a pace that feels supportive, helping you shift from “just coping” to living a more balanced, authentic, and grounded life. If you are ready to stop carrying the pressure of being everything for everyone, reconnect with your own needs, and create lasting change, connect with me to book your free consultation and learn more.
