My Approach to Therapy

I am a therapist specializing in trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming therapy, offering both in-person and online sessions. For neurodivergent individuals, therapy often needs to be genuinely flexible rather than merely labeled that way. I work from a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming foundation. I adapt to how your brain actually works rather than asking you to fit a predetermined framework. My style is calm, collaborative, and responsive to your needs. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is healing. I take that seriously. We move at your pace, focusing on what actually helps in real life rather than what works in theory. I draw from eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parts work, mindfulness, and attachment-based practices. I always tailor the work to you.

My Practice & Services

I work with children (5+), teens, and adults, with a particular focus on neurodivergent individuals and the families who support them. I provide fully affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients and have a strong understanding of military family dynamics. I offer in-person sessions in Oakdale, MN, and telehealth throughout Minnesota. Daytime availability allows flexibility for families, parents, and adults who want to consistently prioritize their mental health.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My primary areas of focus are ADHD, autism, and neurodivergence across the lifespan. I also work extensively with trauma and PTSD, including the layered impact of years spent masking, being misunderstood, or navigating systems that don?t fit. I support LGBTQ+ clients exploring identity and belonging, as well as military families navigating the unique stressors of service life. I also work closely with parents seeking practical, compassionate guidance on how to better understand and support their neurodivergent child at home.

Groups I Work With

My clients are often people who have felt like they do not quite fit in at school, at work, or even in previous therapy. Many are neurodivergent and have accumulated years of self-doubt, burnout, or confusion about why things that seem easy for others feel so much harder for them. Some are parents who are exhausted and searching for someone who can help them truly understand their child, not just manage behavior. Others are LGBTQ+ individuals who are tired of therapists who expect them to explain the basics. Some are military families navigating the emotional complexity of a life built around service. What my clients share is a readiness to be understood and a need for a therapist who already speaks their language before they walk in the door.
