My Approach to Therapy

A lot of my clients look like they have it together, and are exhausted by that. They carry things that are hard to name: old relational wounds, anxiety showing as achievement, and shame that got handed to them early on by family, religion, or culture. I work with adults navigating patterns rooted in early relationships, perfectionism, identity, life and faith transitions, and grief. I also work with LGBTQIA+, ENM, polyamorous, and kink-aware folks who are tired of educating their therapist about their lifestyle choices. My background in education and the military taught me to meet people where they are, with steadiness, directness, and without flinching. I aim for sessions to feel honest, at your pace, and safe for real conversation.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Psychotherapy gives people a place to slow down and actually look at what's happening for them, and I love being the person who gets to hold that space. What I find most meaningful is the relationship: building something real with a client over time and watching what grows from it. I do this work because the light bulb moments never grow old. It's rewarding see someone understand themselves differently and I'm honored to walk that journey with my client.

Groups I Work With

I work with individuals and couples navigating life and faith transitions, relationship stress, and identity concerns.. My clients range from young to elder adults and to couples at every stage: new relationships, long-term partnerships, and everything in between. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning on the outside and quietly exhausted underneath. They are carrying attachment wounds, anxiety shaped by perfectionism, or shame rooted in family, culture, or religious systems that had a lot of opinions about who they should be. I specialize in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as individuals and couples in ENM, polyamorous, and kink-aware relationships. My clients deserve a space where they don't have to explain or justify how they love before getting to the actual work, and that's exactly what I aim to offer. I welcome clients from all cultural, spiritual, and religious backgrounds and approach each person with genuine openness, curiosity, and respect.
