My Approach to Helping
My mission is to help you, your child, and your family to find your inner strengths and individualized voices. We all have our unique challenges, but sometimes it may feel like we are alone in fighting our day to day battles. I will work alongside you to help you advocate for yourself, and provide insight and guidance as we work towards conquering each challenge together.
I strive to create a space for you that allows for trust and acceptance, but will also allow you to grow by challenging yourself. I strongly value the therapeutic relationship with each individual. I will help you advocate for yourself and provide you with insight and tools to manage stressful life events. In my work with children, adolescents, and families, I adopt a collaborative approach to enhance the therapeutic process. With young to middle-aged adults, I utilize a relational approach. I take into consideration social factors that affect each person and examine the power struggles that impact them as a result of these factors. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy to help build skills and manage stressors.
