What's My Approach to Therapy?

I am a seasoned clinician committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can share your story and begin the process of healing. My practice is grounded in an anti-oppression framework and informed by years of work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and clinical settings.

I work with clients navigating many different life challenges, including substance use, relationship concerns, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and recovery from abuse. While the reasons for seeking therapy vary, my focus is always on fostering self-empowerment and helping you build resilience in the face of life’s difficulties.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, empathic, and strengths-based. I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while also integrating holistic and relational perspectives. Together, we will tailor therapy to your unique needs and work toward personal growth, healing, and self-actualization.

If you’re considering therapy, I welcome you to reach out with any questions. I’m here to support you on your journey.

My Practice & Services

Additionally, I have extensive experience supporting emerging adults addressing challenges of this transitional phase, focusing on mental health, relationships, and academic stress.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

The client-therapist alliance is essential for an effective therapeutic experience. A strong alliance builds trust, safety, and collaboration, that allows for individuals to open up and engage more in the process. Ultimately, a positive alliance is foundational for meaningful change and healing.
