My Approach to Therapy

I work with clients who want to move beyond insight into meaningful, lasting change by moving deeper into the healing process with somatic work. Many people understand their patterns, but still feel stuck. When we work with emotions as they are held in the body, new possibilities can emerge. My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and somatic practices to support emotional regulation, self-understanding, and the release of long-held feelings. Our sessions may include conversation, reflection, and guided somatic practices that help you reconnect with your body and emotions. Together, we’ll build practical tools to settle your nervous system, experience feelings with greater safety, and loosen patterns that no longer serve you, at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. Clients often describe me as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. I meet you where you are and create a safe space for the difficult things to be shared. Therapy with me is collaborative and personal: I bring clinical experience, presence, and intuition to each session, with the belief that even challenging moments can hold clarity, healing, and growth.

My Practice & Services

I provide therapy in person at my office in Plano, Texas, and online through secure video throughout Texas. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

Many people come to me after a therapy experience that didn't feel right, or one that simply felt underwhelming. Some even had a good experience that helped in certain ways but never quite got them where they wanted to be. If that's you, I want you to know it doesn't mean therapy can't work for you. Every therapist is different, and the fit matters more than most people realize. My approach is a bit different. I show up as a real person, and I treat you as one too, not as a diagnosis or a case to manage. I believe the relationship between us is at the heart of meaningful change. Clients often tell me I'm deeply intuitive, that I understand what they're feeling and what they need, sometimes before they can put it into words. That kind of attunement can make all the difference in finally feeling seen, safe, and able to move forward.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

My own path to healing began early. I experienced childhood trauma and have been working on healing it since I was young. For years, I did a lot of talk therapy, and while it helped me understand my story, something was still missing. When I discovered somatic work, breathwork, and learning how to actually feel my emotions in my body, my healing increased tenfold. Later, Internal Family Systems (IFS) gave me a compassionate way to understand the different parts of myself. These experiences are exactly why I trained in and use these methods today. I know firsthand that real change happens not just in the mind but in the body, and I bring that lived understanding, along with a deep respect for how hard this work can be, into every session.

Groups I Work With

I work with adults who are interested in a holistic or somatic approach to therapy. Many of my clients have experience in talk therapy but still notice old patterns repeating. We will work with the emotions in the body to help them process and release so that these patterns can finally start to shift and change.
