My Approach to Therapy

Traumas are often the root causes of our health and mental health issues. Addiction, anxiety, anger, chronic pain, depression, sadness, and worry are the symptoms. Heal the trauma; relieve the symptoms. Continual stress negatively impacts our health, relationships, families, and jobs. Counseling offers a place where you can release your hurt, anger, pain, sorrow, and emotionally heal. I provide an Integrative Therapy Approach in a safe, nurturing environment with non-pharmaceutical interventions. Teaching new coping skills, I support you in finding the clarity you need to make peace with the past, to change what you can change, and embrace your own empowerment so that you can be comfortable in your own skin. In-office and Online Counseling are available based upon your needs and insurance guidelines. Everyone deserves to feel happy, joyous, and free! I am here to help you out of your emotional turmoil, to reclaim your own magnificence, and to experience joy once more so that as you heal you become empowered to thrive. What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

What I love about being a psychotherapist is watching my clients blossom like flowers opening up to the sun. It is sacred and so rewarding! Everybody has areas in their life where there is emotional pain, often with hidden feelings of guilt or shame. So much of what we believe about ourselves is rooted in trauma experienced individually or inherited through our families. Much of those beliefs are untrue, but we don't know that until we go through the journey and confront our own fears and sorrows. I've found that the healing process can be so freeing, with new purpose and meaning as a direct result of going through the journey. What I've experienced about therapy, personally and professionally, is that therapy is as much about owning one's own part in the past, then forgiving ourselves and others, so that we can become free to live life now. Psychotherapy to me is helping my clients go on their own Hero's or Shero's Journey, facing their abyss of the fear, moving through it, and finding the hidden treasure that has always been part of who they are. It has been my experience that we become empowered through our journeys and start to find ways to thrive once more.
