My Approach to Helping

I started my professional journey to help others who have gone through loss or trauma in the late 90's. I help you to feel seen, heard and understood. We then work together to recover from depression, anxiety, trauma, complex trauma, and any form of abuse or neglect. I am trained in trauma informed counseling and use its principles with every client.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Many of us started out life in families that did not have the fortune to be aware of things like Attachment or Emotional needs and thus we may not have received all we needed to make the most of our adult life, despite our parents doing the best they could with what they knew. Often we find ourselves doing things we regret, or do not understand. This can cause inner and outer pain, struggles, and difficulties. Psychotherapy is a safe place for you to find ways to change these default behaviors.
