What's My Approach to Therapy?

I believe that each one of us has unique life circumstances and that the counseling process should meet your specific needs. My style is straightforward and compassionate. My focus is on identifying your strengths and helping you to recognize your potential. I employ a client-centered approach in a collaborative effort with you to foster hope and the positive change that you desire. I have worked with individuals facing issues of trauma, loss, physical and sexual abuse, and domestic violence for over 25 years. I have extensive training in complex trauma and a great deal of experience working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma. Inclusive provider. LGBTQIA+, Sex positive, kink and poly allied. Please call (804) 216-0110 to schedule with me directly.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Your mental health is equally as important as your physical health. Seeking counseling is about taking care of yourself and striving to be as healthy as possible. Recognizing this and taking action is a strength, not a weakness.
