My Approach to Therapy

I am a counselor specializing in individual therapy and relationship therapy, offering online sessions. I have so much admiration and respect for anyone willing to seek out counseling and do the hard work of examining your life and relationships to identify areas of potential growth and change. Im honored to provide a safe, affirming, judgment-free space to support your personal journey and exploration. I believe each person is unique in their struggles and hopes for therapy. I also believe you already have inner wisdom that can help guide your growth. My priority is to help you identify the best path toward your goals, access that inner wisdom, and develop new tools and skills to help you move forward. Sometimes people come to therapy with a general sense of dissatisfaction in their life without a clear idea of whats wrong. Other times, they know exactly whats causing their distress or conflict. Both are completely okay. I welcome you wherever you are. I have experience working with individuals of varying ages and backgrounds. Im especially passionate about supporting people who are experiencing faith transitions, processing religious trauma, navigating postpartum depression and anxiety, struggling with body image and acceptance, or dealing with anxiety and perfectionism. I also enjoy supporting parents through family therapy as they implement positive, connected parenting strategies and strengthen their relationships with their children. I use an integrated approach that includes anxiety treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, experiential therapy, feminist therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I believe the most important element of therapy is a connected, trusting relationship.
