My Approach to Therapy

Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming—especially when you’re looking for someone who truly understands you. I became a therapist because I’ve been there myself, navigating pain, conflict, parenthood, and the very real ups and downs of being human. I know how difficult it can be to take that first step and reach out for support! I work with children (ages 6+), teens, adults, couples, and families, and I bring experience from a variety of settings, including ABA therapy, case management, substance use counseling, group therapy, education, and community-based care. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals from many different backgrounds and life experiences. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and paced to meet your needs. When we work together, my goal is for you to feel safe, understood, and supported as we explore what’s been weighing on you. We’ll focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and creating realistic goals that fit your life and values. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck and overwhelmed, there is no concern too big or too small to address in therapy. I hope to help you feel more confident in yourself, more connected in your relationships, and more grounded in your life overall!

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love that I get to be the therapist I've always wished I had. Sessions can get heavy, and feeling vulnerable can be uncomfortable. I always wanted a therapist who not just supports me, but one who pushes me to grow, laughs with me, and validates me when I need it. I bring my authentic self, my genuine care for you, and both personal and professional experience to help guide you where you want to be.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

I have! Nothing beats pouring out your soul just to leave feeling unfulfilled. I pride myself on leaving room for you to lay out your troubles, say those intrusive thoughts out loud, and unmask yourself to reveal the real you. Building a therapeutic relationship requires trust, and I will dedicate our time to building that with you through a non-judgmental and unbiased approach.
