My Approach to Helping

I believe that most people coming to therapy are looking for similar things: to have someone truly listen, validate their experience, acknowledge what they've been through and what they're facing now, and give them some helpful suggestions on how to get to the other side of their challenge. My goal is to meet people where they are emotionally, provide a supportive, nonjudgmental atmosphere, and help people navigate their way through painful experiences.

I think that growth and healing take place faster when a person has someone they trust to walk alongside them rather than having to walk the path alone. And, that's exactly what I am here to do. I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, and customize my treatment based on the specific needs of each person coming in. I deeply believe in collaborating with each client to help determine the type of approach that will help facilitate change and create a sense of empowerment in one's circumstances.

More Info About My Practice

It is a real privilege to work with people as they face their challenges head on. It takes a great deal of courage to ask for help, and I honor that with each person that I see. Along with seeing people for individual psychotherapy, I also provide therapy for couples and families. At this time, I am not on any insurance panels.

However, I am happy to provide you with documentation to submit to your insurance company. Usually, insurance reimbursement will be made directly to you if your carrier allows you to be seen by an out-of-network provider. Otherwise, I accept cash, check, and credit card as forms of payment.
