My Approach to Therapy
Hi, Im Serena. If your emotions feel hard to manage or your mind never seems to slow down, you are in the right place. I work with young adults and adults navigating attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), emotional overwhelm, perfectionism, poor self-image, meaning of life, identity, and the pressure of trying to keep it together. Maybe you feel reactive, shut down when things get too much, or swing between intense motivation and total burnout. You might overthink everything, struggle to start or finish tasks, or feel stuck in shame after another day that did not go as planned. Together, we can make sense of what is happening and help you feel more regulated, steady, and in control. Now accepting new clients!
I support clients with emotional regulation, ADHD, and attachment patterns, especially when it feels hard to trust yourself or stay grounded under stress. I also work with identity, perfectionism, body image, and low mood when those pieces are part of the picture. Therapy with me is caring, practical, and validating.
I use acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems to help you build real tools and deeper self-understanding. We can explore what matters to you, how you want to live, and how to move toward a life that feels more meaningful.
