My Approach to Helping
Hello, my name is Sebastian Bravo. I hold a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Marquette University, and I offer therapy that is empathetic, open-minded, and responsive to your unique needs. I believe that healing begins with a genuine bond between therapist and client, and my goal is to create a welcoming space where you feel understood and empowered to express yourself freely. Together, we will explore your past experiences, process current challenges, and work toward deep and lasting change that brings relief in your daily life.
In order to address your needs, I creatively adapt therapy to each person I work with, instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach. I primarily draw on psychodynamic therapy and mindfulness interventions, while also incorporating other evidence-based approaches as needed. My focus is on helping clients understand themselves more fully, heal from pain, and build healthier ways of coping.
I work with adults, couples, and adolescents to address a wide variety of concerns, including trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, mood conditions, and relationship and family dynamics. As a Cuban American and son of an immigrant, I bring a personal appreciation for the ways culture and identity shape our experiences, and I am especially dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ clients and others from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to create a space where every client feels understood and supported.
