My Approach to Therapy

Maybe the smallest things set you off lately, and the anger arrives faster than you can catch it. Maybe you've said things to your spouse or your kids that you'd give anything to take back. Maybe the two of you have the same fight on repeat — different topic, same ending — and the distance afterward lasts longer each time. Maybe from the outside your life looks like it's working, while inside you feel restless, resentful, or numb. You might feel frustrated with yourself, ashamed, stuck. You are not alone, and none of this means something is wrong with you. It usually means something in you is asking to be understood. I've spent six years as a therapist helping individuals and couples do exactly that — and several decades before that living the same pressures my clients carry: running businesses, building a marriage, raising kids. Together we'll slow the pattern down until you can see it — what gets triggered, what you do next, and what it costs you. Sessions with me are direct, warm, and free of judgment: you can bring the thoughts you don't say out loud anywhere else; I can handle it. The goal isn't to manage you into better behaviour — it's to help you understand yourself so clearly that the old reactions lose their grip.

My Practice & Services

I work with individuals and couples at my Winnipeg office and by secure video across Manitoba. Anger, conflict, and disconnection in marriage are the centre of my practice. I've also written a four-book series on this work — From Chaos to Calm — which you can find through my website below.

My Role as a Therapist

My belief is that awareness does most of the heavy lifting: when you truly see a pattern, you can't unsee it — and change stops being about willpower.
