My Approach to Helping

Times are tough, and many days you feel like you can’t keep up with the demands of life. You may rely heavily on substances, food or distractions to help you feel better, but you know it’s just a temporary fix. Maybe there are events in your past that you’ve been avoiding, but your wisdom tells you that at some point, you’ll need to confront them. However, the thought of facing your past leaves you overwhelmed. Maybe you’ve tried therapy before. Even if it helped in some aspects, you’re still struggling with the same set of symptoms.

I can help you find a new way to interact with yourself and the world. While I use many approaches, I am trained in Somatic Experiencing, which is a gentle way to process and improve your life and experiences over time. We know that the body can heal in a state of rest and digest; however, it can be tricky to experience ease in our fast-paced world.

We are finding more and more that it’s not just the absence of trauma or the lack of stress that creates a satisfying, high-quality of life. We find that the ability to have positive experiences, interactions in supportive relationships, and other resources protects us from trauma and cultivates a high-quality life. Reach out if I can help you start to process and heal from difficulty and create a more connected and satisfying life.
