What's My Approach to Therapy?
I believe that therapy is a partnership, a collaboration between counselor and client to reach your goals. Those goals may be concrete, like learning coping skills to address depression symptoms, or abstract, like figuring out who you are and who you want to be. Therapy is not one size fits all, therefore I am committed to tailoring my therapy to my clients’ needs using solution-focused, trauma-informed, and multiculturally competent approaches. If you've had therapy in the past and left thinking, "But all I did was talk, what should I actually do about any of this?" I might be the right therapist for you.
I offer individual therapy to clients aged 13–65, with a focus on adolescents and y
