What's My Approach to Therapy?
Rediscover Yourself with Samantha: A Journey to Self-Understanding
Therapy is a space to rebuild our most important relationship—the one with ourselves. I believe in guiding you through self-discovery, helping you learn to understand and love all parts of who you are. Together, we'll explore deeper self-awareness and foster lasting emotional growth through curiosity, compassion, and collaboration.
My integrative approach is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), supporting you in exploring how past experiences, emotions, and beliefs shape your present life. I also incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to provide practical tools for emotional regulation, communication, and self-compassion. This blend of insight and skill-building helps you develop strategies to use both in and outside therapy.
I primarily work with older teens and young adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, identity development, and the impact of trauma. My goal is to help you understand how emotional pain is held in both the mind and body, unburdening the parts that carry old wounds so you can move toward healing and wholeness.
Together, we'll connect you to your authentic self—the calm, compassionate, and wise part of who you are—empowering you to make choices aligned with your values.
