What's My Approach to Therapy?

Using evidence-based techniques and theories, I help clients navigate life’s challenges while working toward growth, healing, and balance. As co-founder of Rule 62 Therapy, I am committed to creating a compassionate, supportive space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and move toward their truest potential. I began my counseling journey in 1991 as a volunteer at a residential treatment center for teens, and since then I have worked with clients through both challenge and triumph.

My approach is evidence-based, integrative, holistic, and trauma-informed, grounded in an understanding of how thoughts, behaviors, and past experiences shape the present. Therapy is a collaborative journey where we will clarify what matters most to you, create goals, identify obstacles, and develop practical tools for resilience and lasting change. Together, we’ll work toward insight, healing, and lasting change across your emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. When you’re ready, I invite you to visit our website to schedule a free consultation using our online scheduling tool or email me directly with questions.

My Practice & Services

Finding a therapist can sometimes be a journey in itself. We have a team of therapists to ensure that we cover a variety of approaches and specialties. Every therapist brings with them unique insights and perspectives and may have differing approaches to therapy. The key to any good relationship is open communication and trust. During our first conversation, we will discuss your goals and vision as well as some of the approaches that we utilize to help our clients, so that we all start out on the same page with clear expectations and a solid heading. Groups I Work With

At Rule 62 Therapy, we work with a diverse range of clients across the lifespan, including adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults. We support individuals, couples, families, parents, and caregivers who are navigating emotional, relational, and life challenges. Many of the people we serve seek therapy for anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, trauma, grief, and self-esteem concerns, as well as guidance through major life transitions such as divorce, career changes, loss, or parenting challenges.

Our therapists provide trauma-informed, evidence-based mental health therapy for clients experiencing relationship difficulties, family conflict, blended family dynamics, and the impact of substance use or addiction within the family system. We also support individuals in recovery, those pursuing sobriety, and family members affected by substance use disorders. Trauma therapy is an important part of our work, helping clients heal from past experiences, process emotional wounds, and build resilience.

Rule 62 Therapy also works with college students, professionals, educators, first responders, and caregivers who may be experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, or chronic stress. We are committed to serving diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals and clients from varied cultural backgrounds, and we provide a supportive space for identity exploration and personal growth. Through holistic, confidential, and telehealth-based counseling services, we help clients strengthen emotional well-being, develop effective coping strategies, and move toward lasting balance and mental health.
