My Approach to Helping

I am passionate about empowering folks to heal from the trauma they've experienced and learn new ways of viewing and engaging in a relationship with self and interpersonal dynamics they inhabit. I offer a trauma informed client centered approach.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Over the past 9 years I have used my clinical training to help individuals, couples and families untangle the scary, messy, and upsetting parts of their lives. I work with clients who may be struggling with depression, life transitions, or trauma related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeper into the present concerns and collaborate a plan for addressing them in a way that considers where you are now. Most clients see a gradual reduce of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Within the safety of the therapeutic environment, I listen deeply and gain awareness of the emotions and experiences that may be causing internal and or external tension. Honoring this valuable information we collaboratively work towards processing these thoughts, emotions, experiences with the use of the therapeutic strategies and techniques to move you towards a life that is healthy, authentic, and whole.

I believe strongly that we all have the potential to live fulfilling lives and have positive relationships.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

As a Psychotherapist, I have the privilege of listening deeply to people and coming to know and understand the deepest parts of who they are. At times when we show up in the world we show little of our real selves. I understand why we all tend to hide parts of ourselves (.ie shame, fear, past betrayals, lack of confidence, previous experiences of abuse.), but when we hide our essence from one another and ourselves we lose the opportunity to live a life full of joy, stability, and connectedness. In the therapeutic space, I get the opportunity to witness and support each individual's progression towards full expression of their true essence.

Assisting people in their growth and working with them to move out of hurt, fear, loneliness and discomfort into greater vitality, purpose and authenticity is an honor.
